We are committed to protecting biodiversity, as part of our firm commitment to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and to the communities in which our projects are rolled out.
We have reached agreements with beekeepers and offered them to use some parts of our solar farms for their beehives, providing them with a clean habitat, the perfect place for beekeeping.
We also continue to maintain and expand our agreements with shepherds in the local communities in which we operate, helping their herds graze at our photovoltaic power plants.
There is a mutual benefit to this. We foster local development of the livestock farming sector, provide areas of shade, shelters and protected areas for pregnant sheep, and also help rural areas develop and prevent their depopulation.
