Message from the CEO

For many years we have been aware of how important is to look after the well-being of all the Stakeholders with whom we interact, whether they are individuals, communities, companies or public institutions. In short, the importance of sharing our values with the world around us: Excellence, Transparency, Commitment, Security and Respect.

Since the beginning of the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have acted quickly and decisively to mitigate its negative effects.

On March 5th, days before the Alarm State was declared in Spain by the Royal Decree 463/2020 on March 14th, a Crisis Committee was set up, comprising the CEO, the Compliance and CSR Officer and the Human Resources Officer. Since that day, the situation has been daily monitored and the first measure adopted was to close the Madrid office and start a teleworking regime, in view of the suspicion that there might be a case of indirect infection by COVID-19.  As Renovalia’s CEO, I have had calls with employees in our offices in Mexico, Italy and Chile to learn about their situation and share with them the measures we have taken.

However, our commitment is not only limited to Renovalia’s team. During these three months we have been in contact with the communities in which we are present and have found ways to help them mitigate the effects of this health emergency.  Always from the respect and following a strict approach of preserving the sanitary security in all our actions, we have attended to their requests and collaborated in providing protection elements for children, public employees, sanitary personnel or of special risk and for the population in general.

I would like to conclude by saying that the effects of this health crisis situation have already ended, but unfortunately this is not the case. For this reason, I want to confirm on behalf of the team of Renovalia that our Commitment with all the Stakeholders around us is not over, and it will continue over time until we can definitively assume that this situation has been overcome. With humility, but also with pride, we can say that the same level of Excellence that we seek in the development of our activity is what we demand of ourselves to carry out all these CSR actions.

José Manuel Olea, CEO
