On 23 October 2023, the «Plaza del Ayuntamiento» park was inaugurated, a new park that forms part of the «Mi Ciudad Verde» project in Puertollano (Ciudad Real), of which Renovalia has been a sponsor and collaborator together with the City Council.
The official opening of the park was attended by the Mayor, Mr. Miguel Ángel Ruiz, the Councillor for Business Promotion, Fund Management, Employment Policy and Training, Ms. María Castellanos Morcillo and Renovalia executives, with the participation of fifth grade students from the David Jiménez Avendaño, Gonzalo de Berceo and María Inmaculada schools, who through various tests have been made aware of the importance of sustainable consumption and waste reduction.
‘Mi Ciudad Verde’ (“My Green City”) is a project with two aspects: one social and the other environmental. These aspects are materialised in the renovation of Puertollano’s green leisure areas and children’s playgrounds, creating inclusive places, close to the people and built with sustainable materials.
Each renovation of a park, as part of Renovalia’s «Our Future is Green» project, involves actions and activities to raise environmental awareness, protect nature, promote renewable energies, and encourage coexistence in a green and sustainable city.
