Due to our firm commitment to both the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and the communities in which we are developing our projects, we are taking action against biodiversity loss and promoting the development of the communities in which we operate.

We have reached agreements with beekeepers and have given them land at our solar plants to install their hives, thus providing them with a clean habitat, perfect for the development of bees and their production.

We continue to expand our agreements with beekeepers and, in this case, with the recent commissioning of our Bolarque photovoltaic plant, we have reached an agreement with beekeepers in the Alcarria area, which has a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), to grant them the use of the land where the Bolarque plant is located for the installation of hives for honey production. In this case, we have also had the collaboration of the Association of Beekeepers of La Alcarria and other regions of Castilla La Mancha, prioritising agreements with small and young beekeepers.

Soon, we will be producing Renovalia’s ‘Miel del Sol’ (Honey of the Sun) with honey from the hives installed in Bolarque, that is, the excellent honey from the Alcarria region, possibly one of the best in the world.
