We are committed to protecting biodiversity, as part of our firm commitment to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and to the communities in which our projects are rolled out.
At our new Bolarque photovoltaic park located at Yebra and Zorita de los Canes, Guadalajara, which will be inaugurated soon, we have already reached an agreement with a local livestock farmer to use the park’s land for grazing his sheep.
This action is part of our commitment to continue expanding our agreements with shepherds in the communities in which we operate, so that their flocks can graze in our photovoltaic parks.
There is a mutual benefit to this. We foster local development of the livestock farming sector, provide areas of shade, shelters and protected areas for pregnant sheep, and also help rural areas develop and prevent their depopulation.
